For our patients on immunosuppressant medications, see Australian Rheumatology Association patient COVID guidelines. For GPs, there is also a separate immunosuppression and covid guideline. Anti viral medications are available for some patients on immunosuppressants who become covid infected. Please contact ACT COVID-19 Care@Home program on 02 5124 3085 or your GP for further advice as soon as you are PCR or RAT positive for covid.
If you have been informed to self isolate, or become unwell, or come into close contact with unwell people, our advice is NOT to take your immunosuppressant medications until the results of your covid test is available. Please contact your GP or rheumatologist for further advice.
We encourage you to get the flu vaccine this year, and ensure your pneumonia vaccine is up to date (1-2 doses per lifetime).
For all our patients,
wearing mask in our rooms is encouraged, due to our immunosuppressed patients.
- We ask all patients or visitors who have a fever or may be unwell, even with mild cold symptoms, to refrain from attending an appointment or visiting the practice. Please contact our practice to reschedule your appointment and get tested for covid. Telehealth appointments are available.
- The Practice has hand sanitiser available in the reception area, and we encourage all patients and visitors to use it. We are doing temperature checks with a no-touch thermometer for visitors to our practice.
- To ensure social distancing in our waiting rooms, please do NOT visit with companions unless strictly essential (e.g. carers). You may be asked to wait in the car for safety reasons, if the waiting room capacity is reached.
- If you are notified that you may have had contact with someone diagnosed with the coronavirus, and have recently visited the Practice, please advise our practice manager Mrs Jacqueline Reed on 62603796 immediately.
